So I was out with some of my girlfriends yesterday afternoon grabbing drinks and lunch at the Cheescake Factory and one of them brought up that book that everyone can't shut up about 50 Shades of Gray. I was like I don't get what this whole thing is about.

Apparently the answer to this like most things is sex.

So I continue to sip my Georgia Peach ($8.95/drink made of Skyy Vodka, Peach liqueur, Peaches, and Swirled with Rasberries - a perfect summer drink) and wonder why everyone is so obsessed. I mean isn't that what porn and True Blood are for?

I mean the way she was talking about the main character I felt like she was talking about Eric (my super hotty) from True Blood. Which left me still wondering - what is the big deal about this book?

So me being me I naturally bought it because 1) I'm out of new things to read and 2) I need to know what everyone is gossiping about so I can stay in the loop. 

So one great drink and $17 later I started reading it and let me tell you I don't understand why people can't put it down. I have put it down quite easily and can't tell if I want to pick it back up again. But who knows? Maybe it's just a slow beginning or maybe I've just had my tortured sex fill but I just don't get it. But maybe I'll get to the end and be changed, but I wouldn't bet on it.
