Shore Time!

I love the Jersey Shore. Not the show, although that is fun, but the actual Jersey shore. The one that you go to and bring your family and have the most relaxing weekend of your life. First of all, if you go to the right shore point, it can be the most quiet, peaceful time.

I love being able to wake up and go down to the beach and not worrying about work, or school, or just life drama. Everyone is relaxed and happy and having a great time.

Then there's the clothes you can wear. Most of the day you spend in a bathing suit which is great. Plus all you need over that is a cover up of either a sundress or shorts and t-shirt and you probably don't even need the t-shirt. It's so much easier than waking up for work and staring at a closet full of clothes and having nothing to wear.

Then you go back up to the house and take a shower. If you're lucky that shower will but outdoors - somehow it's a better more relaxing shower when you're outside. Maybe it's because it's a little thrilling knowing that you're naked outside and there's a possibility of being seen in just a towel or even someone walking in. It's a weird thrill, but at the same time it's freeing and exhilarating.

Then at night I love that you can go out in a pair of shorts, a t-shirt, and flip flops. So comfy! Plus you take out a cute bike painted in a great pastel color with a little basket attached. Then you go and eat some delicious shore treats including ice cream (mint chocolate chip is the best). Plus everyone is doing it so there's no reason to be self conscious.

The shore just makes everything seem possible and easier. It's one of the best summer escapes you can take. Plus there's plenty to do between bike riding, walking along the beach, swimming and playing in the water, and going to the boardwalk.

Honestly I can't get enough. I love the break that the shore brings and how it makes everyone a kid again. It's really one of the best weekend/week-long vacations you can take.

Sunny Days Ahead!
